At first self taught. She read about the technique in physician scrolls then used a slave's skin as test canvas. As her talent grew, so did her clientele. Thanks to a working relationship with a Schendi merchant, Word of her work reached the jungles far south of Port Kar. This resulted in a rare invitation to learn the ancient tattooing skills of the Mamba Peoples. She spent over a month with the Village Elder, Sabiti, learning not just how to tattoo in the Mamba style; also learning the skill of making her own sticks and ink.
